Jonathan D. Klein, MD, MPH, FAAP, is Associate Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is also the Savithri and Samuel Raj Endowed Professor of Pediatrics and Executive vice head of the department of pediatrics in the UIC College of Medicine. Jon is a pediatrician and a specialist in adolescent medicine and a health services researcher. He is currently Scientific Director for the American Academy of Pediatrics Julius B Richmond Center, dedicated to the elimination of children’s exposure to tobacco and secondhand smoke.

Laura K. Grubb, MD, MPH, FAAP

Laura K. Grubb, MD, MPH, FAAP, is an adolescent medicine specialist and general pediatrician with research interests in sexual education for intellectually impaired adolescents and young adults, social media use and self-harm, contraception affordability and access, minors’ rights to consent and confidentiality in health care, and prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. In 2016 she was appointed to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Committee on Adolescence which monitors and makes policy recommendations to the Board of Directors on issues surrounding vital adolescent health issues. She develops and authors policy statements, clinical reports, and technical reports on behalf of the AAP.
