Donate to ICATCH -- Help us increase our grant amount for 2025!

International Community Access to Child Health (ICATCH) is a grant program led by a dedicated team of pediatricians from the US and around the world. Working together, we provide funding and guidance to healthcare partners in low and low-middle income countries for local pediatric health care and health education projects.

Since our launch in 2007, ICATCH has funded 105 projects in 43 countries!  But we have never increased the grant amount from the original $2000 per year for three years.

ICATCH grants are supported in part by three AAP sections:

• Section on Global Health
• Section on Neonatal Perinatal Health
• Section on Hospital Medicine 

But we also rely heavily on the generous donations of our pediatric colleagues and other individuals committed to helping children in need worldwide.

This year we hope to raise $75,000 to increase grant funding from $2000 to $2750 per year, and to support modest travel grants enabling some of our grantees to present their project successes at international and regional meetings.

Donate by mail

You can donate by mail by making a check out to “AAP Friends of Children—ICATCH” and writing “ICATCH” in the memo line. Mail your check to AAP Development, PO Box 7525, Carol Stream, IL 60197-7525.

Donate stock

You can donate appreciated stock you have held for one year or longer. The gift qualifies for a tax deduction, and no capital gains tax is due on the appreciation. Please direct your donation to American Academy of Pediatrics (ICATCH; 345 Park Blvd., Itasca, IL 60143), specifying tax ID number 36-2275597, Merrill Lynch account 6CL-02465, and DTC number 8862. Once you’ve completed your donation, please contact us using the form below with your name, the amount, and the name of the financial institution sending your gift.

Donate from your IRA

You can give directly from your individualized retirement account (if you are 70.5 years or older). When you make a direct transfer from your IRA, no tax will be due, and the transfer will count toward your required minimum distribution. To donate, follow the IRA custodian’s instructions for a qualified charitable distribution, specifying American Academy of Pediatrics (ICATCH; 345 Park Blvd., Itasca, IL 60143) as the recipient and providing tax ID number 36-2275597.
