Marc Alan Lerner, MD, FAAP

Dr. Marc Lerner is a pediatrician specializing in developmental and behavioral medicine. He is past president of the Orange County, California, Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and chairs the executive committee of the AAP’s Council on School Health. Dr. Lerner has taught and cared for patients at the University of California, Irvine, for 35 years. He has served as consulting pediatrician at UCI’s Child Development Ce­­­nter and the UCI Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Dr. Lerner was recognized as the AAP Chapter 4 Pediatrician of the Year in 2016 and an Orange County Medical Association ‘Physician of Excellence.’ From 2011 until 2016 Dr. Lerner worked as the Medical Officer for the Orange County, California Department of Education.

Benard P. Dreyer, MD, FAAP

Dr. Dreyer is a general and development-behavioral pediatrician, who has spent his professional lifetime caring for underserved children and families. Professor of Pediatrics at NYU, he leads the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and is Director of Pediatrics at Bellevue Hospital. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and is currently serving as the AAP’s Medical Director for Policies. As AAP President, he led the AAP’s Strategic Priority on Poverty and Child Health. Dr. Dreyer was president of the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) and founded the APA Task Force on Childhood Poverty and the APA Research Scholars Program. Dr. Dreyer also hosts a weekly radio show, “On-Call for Kids”, on Sirius-XM.
